Welcome Home
A new season at Star Bethel
In 2026 we welcomed Pastor Marvin Parks, who comes home to East Tennessee after twenty years of pastoring in Michigan. He and his wife serve the way this church always has: with their own hands, and with a heart for bringing people to Christ.
Pastor Parks' first goal for Star Bethel is discipleship: teaching the basics of Bible doctrine, sharing the good news of Jesus, and reaching people, starting right here at home.
Our congregation carries generations of faith and wisdom. Now we are opening the doors wider for young families, for neighbours who have been away from church for a while, and for anyone who is looking for a church home.
Our Mission
Four things we are about
Pastor Parks' first goal for Star Bethel is discipleship: teaching the basics of Bible doctrine and helping one another grow as followers of Jesus. These four commitments grow out of it.
Next Generation
Our elders carry wisdom and our young people carry fire, and a church needs both. We are making room for children and youth to know Christ and to serve.
Children & youth
Community Outreach
We take the church outside its walls, with cookout days, meals, and care for neighbours in need, including those without a home.
How we serve
Missions & Fellowship
Ministry starts at home, so our first mission field is Etowah and McMinn County. As a Missionary Baptist church we also serve alongside our sister churches of the Loudon District Association.

Outreach, fellowship and upcoming events
We take the church out into the community with cookouts, meals, and practical care for neighbours in need. Every date goes on our calendar, and you are welcome at all of it.

Give to the ministry
Your gifts keep our doors open, our lights on and our outreach going. Thank you for sowing into the work God is doing at Star Bethel.
